Matt LeBlanc Shares Emotional Tribute to His Friend and Co-Star Matthew Perry
Matt LeBlanc has taken to social media to honor his Friends co-star and late “brother” Matthew Perry. As you might imagine, Perry’s death has been extremely difficult for those who were close to him and knew him best.
LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani in the fan-favorite NBC sitcom, described his time with Perry as “among the favorite times of [his] life.” He also shared some photos of them together on Friends where they played best friends over the course of ten seasons. LeBlanc said:
“Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never. Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.”
Perry and LeBlanc starred in Friends alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer. It’s extremely heartbreaking that Perry is no longer with us. He certainly brought us some great entertainment and fun laughs.
