Matt Reeves and His Team Want THE BATMAN to Be the Best Batman Movie Ever
Well, The Batman director Matt Reeves and his creative team are attempting to make the best Batman movie ever, and producer Dylan Clark made sure to tell Christopher Nolan that. In a recent interview with Empire Clark said:
"I've said this to Chris Nolan directly: 'Look, we're trying to be the best Batman ever made, and we're going to try to beat you.' Matt is interested in pushing this character to his emotional depths and shaking him to his core."
Everyone has their own idea of what the best Batman movie is. My top three favorite Batman films are Tim Burton’s Batman, the animated film Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm, and Nolan’s The Dark Knight. All of the Batman films have such different tones, styles, and versions of Batman. So, because of that, the best Batman film is a preference based on a person’s taste.
I don’t know if Reeves is gong to make “the best” Batman movie. What I do know is that the film looks great and there’s no doubt that it’s going to entertain! We’ll just have to wait and see how good it actually is.
Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city's corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.
When a killer targets Gotham's elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World's Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator's plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.
The Batman is set to hit theaters on March 4, 2022.
