Matt Reeves Reportedly Wants A Lot Of BATMAN Villains In THE BATMAN
Leaks on the web are giving out various reports regarding the production of The Batman, and the word is Matt Reeves wants The Joker, Deathstroke, and Scarecrow in the same film. It's being reported that Reeves' direction is different from the original script for The Batman, which has been thrown out.
Apparently, there's an inside source who says there have "been rumors around the executives that Matt Reeves wants to incorporate many Batman villains. These villains will include Deathstroke, Joker, and Scarecrow. The studio has already been working on Deathstroke (obviously) and has mockups of a potential new Scarecrow.”
Once again it's all rumors, but they seem to line up with Jared Leto's Joker being introduced in Suicide Squad and Joe Manganiello already being cast as Deathstroke. I would assume the character of Scarecrow will not be Cillian Murphy this time around, and that the character will be rebooted as well. I'm not sure who you put in the role, or how you shoehorn so many showcase villains into one feature, but that seems to be how DC rolls these days so I'm sure they'll make it happen. Anyone excited about potentially seeing all three villains appear in the same film?
Reeves cannot start work on the film officially until his commitment is up for War For The Planet Of The Apes.
