Matthew Fox and Joanne Froggatt Star in Trailer for the Intense Global Thriller Series LAST LIGHT
An intense trailer has been released for the limited global thriller series Last Light that is headed to Peacock. The series stars Matthew Fox (Lost) and Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey) as a couple who are facing the collapse of society while trying to keep their family safe. They are joined in the series cast by Alyth Ross, Taylor Fay, Amber Rose Revah, Victor Alli, Tom Wlaschiha, and Hakeem Jomah.
The synopsis reads:
Last Light will follow Andy Yeats, played by Lost's Matthew Fox, a petro-chemist who spends his time examining our current oil reserves. While on a business trip to the Middle East, Andy finds that his worst fears are coming to fruition. And what's more, he now finds himself separated from his family at a crucial moment both personally and globally. As disasters both small and large occur worldwide, his family, now fractured, will have to face disaster on their own. Laura, his teenage daughter, is home alone in London. While his wife, Elena, and his son Sam are stuck in Paris. Each of the Yeats family will have to fight against all odds to find each other again.
The series is directed by Dennie Gordon (Bloodline, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), and adapted by Patrick Massett, Patrick Renault, and John Zinman, based on Alex Scarrow's novel of the same name.
This looks like it could be a really interesting and well-done series. I like the cast and the other work the director has done, so I think I’m going to give it a shot. Check out the trailer below, and watch Last Light on Peacock on September 8th.
