Matthew McConaughey and Kate Beckinsale Join Guy Ritchie's Crime Drama TOFF GUYS

After he’s finished with Disney’s live-action Aladdin, director Guy Ritchie is going back to his roots and helming an original British crime drama called Toff Guys. Now we’ve learned that Matthew McConaugheyKate Beckinsale, and Crazy Rich Asians actor Henry Golding are set to star in the film.

This is a great cast for Ritchie to work with and I can’t wait to see the characters that he ended up creating for them to play.

The story for the film explores the “collision between European ‘old money’ and the modern marijuana industry. It follows a British drug lord attempting to cash out on his highly profitable empire by selling it off to a dynasty of Oklahoma billionaires.”

I imagine that McConaughey will be playing the Oklahoma billionaire and Beckinsale and Golding will be a part of the British drug ring.

The film is said to be "in the vein of the “high-energy British gangster pics with A-list talent that helped launch Ritchie’s career, like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.” I’m a huge fan of those two films, so I’m very much looking forward to Toff Guys.
