Matthew McConaughey Is Elvis Presley in Trailer for Netflix's Adult-Animated Action Series AGENT ELVIS
Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming adult animated action series Agent Elvis, and Matthew McConaughey provides the voice of this very different version of Elvis Presley.
In the series, “Elvis Presley trades in his jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves – all while holding down his day job as the King of Rock and Roll.”
Agent Elvis was created by Priscilla Presley and John Eddie. Mike Arnold serves as showrunner, headwriter and executive producer alongside Eddie, who serves as co-showrunner and writer. The series will consist of ten episodes and it’s described as an “irreverent action comedy” that follows Elvis “as he lives a double-life as a secret agent.”
Priscilla previously said in a statement: “From the time Elvis was a young boy he always dreamed of being the superhero fighting crime and saving the world! Agent Elvis lets him do just that. My co-creator John Eddie and I are so excited to be working with Netflix and Sony Animation on this amazing project and getting the chance to show the world an Elvis they haven’t seen before.”
Vancouver-based Titmouse served as the animation studio with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina serving as Executive Producers and Gary Ye as Supervising Director, Chris Thompson as Art Director, and Josue Sanchez as Editor. Robert Valley created original character designs, and Agent Elvis’ wardrobe was designed by John Varvatos. Music and original score was composed by Tyler Bates and Timothy Williams.
This looks like a fun series, and it will drop on Netflix in March 2023!
