Matthew Vaughn Offers Details on KINGSMAN 3 Which He'll Shoot after KINGSMAN Prequel
Matthew Vaughn has got big plans for the Kingsman franchise. He’s getting ready to start shooting a WWI prequel called Kingsman: The Great Game. Right after that, he confirmed with THR, that he’ll jump into development on Kingsman 3, which will be set after the events of Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
There’s not much that has been revealed for Kingsman 3, but Vaughn says that it will feature several of the established characters embarking on separate journeys. He also confirms that it will feature both the Kingsmen and the Statesmen.
"The end of this movie [Golden Circle], if you think about it: you have Eggsy's definitely going to go on a new journey. Galahad, or Harry Hart's going on a new journey. Tequila's going on a new journey. Jeff's (Bridges) going on a new journey, Halle (Berry), the new agent Whiskey, is. The next movie is what happens to these characters. They're definitely not going to be doing what you've seen them do before."
We’ve also heard that there would be some spinoff films, so with all of these characters going on separate journeys, that could possibly set up individual films for some of these characters.
Kingsman: The Great Game will be released on February 14th, 2020 and Kingsman 3 will be released at some point during 2021.
