MAZE RUNNER: THE SCORCH TRIALS Trailer and Poster
A new trailer and poster have been released for the second chapter in The Maze Runner storyline, and the movie looks awesome. Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials continues the adventures of Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his companions. After barely escaping the deadly maze they find that life doesn't get any easier outside of it. The Maze was only the first phase of a program developed by WCKD to weed out the weak for some kind of purpose yet to be revealed.
This is one of the few young adult book series film adaptations that I really like. Director Wes Ball did a great job bringing the first story to life on the big screen, and it looks like he nailed the second one as well. Here's the synopsis:
Thomas (O’Brien) and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD’s vastly superior forces and uncover its shocking plans for them all.
The film is based on the YA book series by James Dashner. The movie also stars Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Ki Hong Lee, Rosa Salazar, Katherine McNamara, Jacob Lofland, Giancarlo Esposito, Lili Taylor, and Barry Pepper.
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials opens September 18th.
