Mckenna Grace Says She Loves Doing Horror but She Turns Down Roles With Nudity and Would Love to Be a Disney Princess

Mckenna Grace has been acting for most of her life, from voice work in animated shows to award-winning films, live-action series, and a stream of scary movies and shows that have been a defining course in her career.

But despite the gore she’s been a part of in the horror genre, she does have a personal line she draws when asked to take on a new role.

When asked by Cosmopolitan if there were any types of roles she said no to, Grace responded: “At this point, I definitely don’t do nudity or very hypersexual things. I respect anybody who can, but it’s terrifying to me.

“I don’t know if that’ll ever change. It’s not like I only do wholesome things—my character literally gets gutted by Ghostface in Scream—but my dream is to try and be a Disney princess someday.”

After the interview, Grace took to Instagram to clear up the misconception that some made, assuming she meant in this statement that she doesn’t do nudity or sexual scenes because she aspires to be a Disney princess. But she clarified that those two things aren’t related.

"The two quotes being used right now in these titles are unrelated. I said at this point in my career I think I'm uncomfortable doing something but I respect everyone who does - and I also have a dream job!

“I'm not uncomfortable doing nude scenes/hyper sexual roles simply because 'I want to be a Disney princess', it's just because of my own personal boundaries and the level of comfortability I have with that sort of thing right now at this point in my life! Silly that it's become such a source of conversation! So many more important things to talk about."

Grace will be seen later this month in the prequel The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, and will play Daphne in Netflix’s live-action Scooby-Doo: Origins series, out next year.
