Meet Smart Beavis and Smart Butthead in Funny New Clip From BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD DO THE UNIVERSE
Beavis and Butthead are making a big comeback with Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe, a new feature film adventure! During the MTV Movie & TV Awards, the first clip for the film was released and it sees the two main characters meeting “Smart Beavis” and “Smart Butthead”. They’re pretty much Beavis and Butthead versions of Marvel’s The Watchers. It’s pretty damn funny!
The movie is dubbed “The Dumbest Science Fiction Movie Ever Made” and the story sees Beavis and Butt-head being “sentenced to Space Camp by a creative judge in 1998, leading to a trip on the Space Shuttle, with predictably disastrous results.”
1998 is the year after the original series ended, and after a series of events, the two characters find themselves in the year 2022, with the NSA and the U.S. government tracking them down. In the process, the two struggle to adjust to modern life.
Creator Mike Judge wrote and directed the film which also features the voices of Chris Diamantopoulos, Nat Faxon, Brian Huskey, Chi McBride, Tig Notaro, Stephen Root, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr and Jimmy O. Yang in supporting roles.
Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe will be released on Paramount+ on June 23rd, 2022. You can watch the previously released trailer for the movie here.
