Meet the Death Ranger in New POWER RANGERS One-Shot Comic This August

BOOM! Studios recently announced a new one-shot special comic called Power Rangers Unlimited: The Death Ranger #1. This is sure to be exciting. Paul Allor (Power Rangers: The Psycho Path) is writing the one-shot with Katherine Lobo serving as artist. This story will give us some more information on the Omega Rangers and possibly a glimpse of what’s to come. I don’t know if it’s been confirmed or not, but there’s some heavy speculation that Drakkon is actually the Death Ranger and based on the main cover art by Keyla Valerio, I think there’s a very good chance of that (look at the shadow).

The LEGENDARY OMEGA RANGERS defended the universe from evil thousands of years ago, the six of them using their elemental powers to protect others from sinister forces. But that all changed when one key member became seduced by the death-defying powers of the Rangers’ greatest foe. How does this Ranger connect to what’s locked in the mysterious Omega Vault in Safehaven so many millennia later, as everything converges in the milestone comic book event CHARGE TO 100?

We’re continuing the epic CHARGE TO 100 with a new type of Ranger you’ve never encountered before. Just like the introduction of fan favorites Lord Drakkon, the Ranger Slayer, and countless other characters who’ve taken on a life of their own, it’s time to meet a dark and ominous figure from the ancient recesses of Morphin history… the DEATH RANGER!

Fans will be able to read The Death Ranger #1 this August at their local comic shop or wherever they like to get their comics. Variant covers will be available from Goñi Montes and Derrick Chew.
