Mel Gibson is Set To Play Santa Claus in a New Action Comedy Called FATMAN
Mel Gibson is set to play Santa Claus in a new action comedy feature film called Fatman. When I think about an actor to play Santa, Gibson isn’t one that pops into my head, but it’s happening and I’m sure he’s going to be great in the role!
Fatman will tell the story of “a rowdy, unorthodox Santa Claus who is fighting his business decline.” There’s an interesting and amusing twist to the story, though, as “a neglected and precocious 12-year-old hires a hitman to kill Santa after receiving a lump of coal in his stocking.”
Yep, this movie sounds like it could be a lot of fun! It will be directed by the team of Ian and Eshom Nelms from a script that they wrote. Their previous film credits include Small Town Crime, Waffle Street and Lost on Purpose. They had this to say in a statement:
“This rowdy Santa tale is a film we’ve been excited to make for some time and we’re thrilled to have equally passionate partners in Rough House and Fortitude who carry the same fire!”
