Melissa McCarthy Has Joined the Cast of Hulu's NINE PERFECT STRANGERS Alongside Nicole Kidman and Kate McKinnon

After the success of the HBO series Big Little Lies, Hulu has decided to follow suit by bringing another strong female-led Liane Moriarty novel to TV with the series, Nine Perfect Strangers. Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies, Bombshell) is going to executive produce and star, and the series has added Kate McKinnon (SNL, Yesterday) and most recently, Melissa McCarthy (Gilmore Girls, Bridesmaids, The Kitchen).

Here’s the series description:

The series takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this ten-day retreat is the resort’s director Masha (Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine “perfect” strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.

I’m really excited for this series! I loved Big Little Lies, and I have enjoyed other novels by Liane Moriarty. Nine Perfect Strangers is still a ways off, but that is perfect, because I haven’t gotten to the book yet. I can’t wait to hear who else they cast in this series, and I can’t wait to see it.

Does it sound like a series you’ll be into?
