Michael B. Jordan is Looking To Do Something Different with CREED III

The first two films of Michael B. Jordan’s Creed franchise have been great! I’ve enjoyed the movies and the stories that they tell. Especially like how they continued the story of Rocky Balboa. But, Rocky’s story in the franchise is done and Sylvester Stallone is not coming back for the third film.

Adonis Creed is about to set off on his own journey without Rocky’s guidance so this film is definitely going to be different than the first couple of stories that were told. Well, that’s exactly what Michael B. Jordan wants for the next film.

During a recent interview with NME, Jonathan Majors (Loki), who is set to co-star in the film, explained:

Michael is really trying to do something different with this Creed. Something that’s a bit more intimate. With intimacy comes complexity. It’s he and I. It’s a story about these two men trying to work something out, and it’s very different from the others.

It’ll be interesting and cool to see how Jordan is going to explore Adonis Creed’s complex relationship with the sport of boxing. And I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of relationship that he’s going to play with between Creed and Major’s characters.

Creed III also stars Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad who will return to reprise their roles. The script for Creed III is written by Zach Baylin and Keenan Coogler. It’ll be interesting to see where they take Adonis Creed’s story from here.
