Michael B. Jordan Will Reportedly Be Back as Killmonger in BLACK PANTHER 2
Even though Michael B. Jordan’s Killmonger died at the end of Black Panther, apparently he will be back for the sequel.
Death doesn’t really seem real in the MCU. With Avengers: Endgame bringing back a bunch of characters that were killed off, including Black Panther, the news of Killmonger possibly returning shouldn’t really a big surprise.
While talking to ET Online at the SAG awards, Angela Bassett, who plays the mother of both T’Challa and Shuri, was asked if the Black Panther cast would be returning for a sequel and she said, “I assume so.” Then her husband Courtney B. Vance, decided to go the extra mile and spill the beans:
“Yes, just go ahead and say it. Yes, everyone will be there, including Michael B. [Jordan].”
So there ya have it! We obviously don’t know the details of how and why, but I imagine it has something to do with whatever happens in Avengers: Endgame.
I wonder if he will still be portrayed as a villain or if he will have a more noble side to him this next time around. With his return, he could end up being different kind of person, which could be interesting. Killmonger is considered by a lot of fans to be one of the best villains in the MCU, so it makes sense that they would want to bring him back.
How do you think his return will be handled in Black Panther 2?
