Michael Caine Joins Ben Foster in the Historical Action Drama MEDIEVAL

Michael Caine has been cast alongside Ben Foster in the historical action-drama Medieval, which will tell the story of the 14th century Czech icon and warlord Jan Zizka.

The English-language movie will chart the story of national hero Zizka (‘Jan Zizka of Trocnov’ as he is also known), a revered military tactician who defeated armies of the Teutonic Order and the Holy Roman Empire. He is known for his innovative strategies and for quickly training peasants to face skilled and armored opponents who usually outnumbered his own troops. The film will also focus on his relationship with a local heiress and his face off against a rival King.

Caine will take on the role of Lord Boresh who is the right hand of the Czech King Wenceslaus IV in the story.

Medieval will be directed by Czech filmmaker Petr Jákl (Ghoul), from a script that he wrote. Jákl also produces alongside Cassian Elwes (Mudbound), who had this to say about Caine joining the film:

"It’s been a dream of mine to make film with Michael Caine since I first started working in the business. Now this dream has come true and I couldn’t be more excited. He’s a living legend."

Caine is such a wonderful actor to watch in movies and it's great to see him in a new historical film.

What is your favorite Michael Caine film? Mine would have to be the 1975 movie The Man Who Would Be King
