Michael Cera, Michael Angarano, and Maya Erskine to Star in Road Trip Movie SACRAMENTO; Angarano Writing and Directing

Michael Cera (Juno, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World), Michael Angarano (Lords of Dogtown, This is Us), and Maya Erskine (Insecure, PEN15) have signed on to star in the road trip movie, Sacramento, with Angarano directing and co-writing the script with Chris Smith. This will be Angarano’s second directing gig, with the first being the 2017 film Avenues, which he also wrote.

Deadline reports that the film “will follow Rickey, an energetic and free-spirited young man who convinces Glenn, his long-time friend who’s settled into domestic life, to go on an impromptu road trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento, bringing their past into question and their future into light.”

This is a very talented young cast, and I am intrigued by the story. I look forward to hearing more about this project. Sacramento is due to start shooting early in 2021.
