Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy May Be Back For More X-MEN Films
Take this with a grain of salt because it hasn't been confirmed yet, but Heroic Hollywood is reporting a rumor that Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy will be returning for at least one more X-Men movie following their starring roles in next year's X-Men: Apocalypse. No details are known about how many more films they'll appear in, and while the studio reportedly wants Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence back as well, there's no word yet on whether they'll be suiting up for more in the X-verse.
The idea of which of the young cast members is the best actor is obviously up for debate, but for my money, Fassbender and McAvoy are the best at portraying their specific characters; Lawrence may have an Oscar to her name, but I don't like her portrayal of Mystique as much as what that duo has done with their mutant characters. The relationship between Magneto and Professor Xavier has always been one of the key factors of the X-Men franchise, and I hope this rumor is true and that continues to be the case moving forward. Also, I'd love to see Channing Tatum's Gambit interact with these guys, since they're fairly serious and I can't imagine Tatum being anything other than a goofball when he dons his brown leather trenchcoat and shuffles his playing cards.
What do you think? Looking forward to more X-movies with Fassbender and McAvoy?
