Michael Keaton Directs and Stars in KNOX GOES AWAY, Which Was Acquired By Saban Films

Saban Films has announced that it acquired U.S. rights to the upcoming thriller Knox Goes Away, a thriller directed by and starring Michael Keaton. The script for the movie was written by Gregory Poirier (National Treasure: Book of Secrets, The Spy Next Door).

The story for this movie actually sounds pretty interesting as Keaton plays a “contract killer with a rapidly evolving form of dementia. He is offered the opportunity to redeem himself by saving the life of the adult son with whom he had been estranged.”

Keaton stars alongside Al Pacino, James Marsden, Marcia Gay Harden, Suzy Nakamura, John Hoogenakker, Joanna Kulig, Ray McKinnon and Lela Loren.

This is the second film that Keaton has directed. The first was back in 2008 with the movie The Merry Gentleman. It’s cool to see Keaton getting back behind the camera and I’m looking forward to seeing how this new film of his turns out!

The movie is aiming for an early 2024 theatrical release in the U.S.
