Michael Keaton's Batman Will Reportedly Get His Own Saga and Be The Main Batman of The DCEU

Update on this Batman news. There has obviously been some miscommunication:

Original article follows:

According to a new report, Michael Keaton’s version of The Batman may end up being the main Batman of the DCEU. Keaton is set to reprise his role in DC’s The Flash, but according to New York Times writer Brooks Barnes, who recently did a profile of DC Films president Walter Hamada. A quote from Harmada indicated that Keaton will be the main Batman in the DCEU moving forward. The studio executive said:

“Coming up, for instance, Warner Bros. will have two different film sagas involving Batman — played by two different actors — running at the same time.”

We know one version of Batman will be played by Robert Pattinson, and when a fan on Twitter asked Barnes to clarify what version of Batman the second one would be, he confirmed that it was Keaton.

Whoa! That’s pretty damn awesome and totally unexpected. Batman fans have been wanting to see Keaton back in the role for years and bringing him back to the role in The Flash is the perfect way to do it. It’s crazy that they are going to use this multiverse story to bring Keaton back as Batman in full force, with his own saga!

There are no details on what is in store for this separate Keaton Batman saga, but it’s safe to assume that maybe this will lead to the live-action Batman Beyond film that fans have been wanting to see for years. Or maybe it could go The Dark Knight Returns route.

I guess we’ll eventually find out, but it’s interesting that Keaton’s Batman will be the main version of the hero in the DCEU.
