Michael Mando Reveals What Classic Villain He Plays in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

Michael Mando's role in Spider-Man: Homecoming has been pretty secretive as have many of the roles. People know the major players but others are left a mystery. Well, recently Mando let the cat out of the bag in an Instagram post of who he will be playing in the MCU.

The actor will be taking on the role of the classic Spider-Man villain Mac Gargan aka Scorpion. This is a great villain that fits with the Spider-Man world Marvel is building in their MCU. More old school style villains that are great on the street. Mac Gargan started out as a Private Investigator hired by Jameson to find out who Spider-Man was. He became the Scorpion and later even became Venom. Then became Scorpion again.

There are also rumors spreading that this role will be expanded upon in the Black and Silver movie, but that would be odd seeing as Marvel has made a clear point saying that it is not in the MCU.

Currently, all that is known is Mac Gargan will appear in some way in Homecoming. Perhaps to set up in the future. It's doubtful they will have him be a major player in this upcoming movie, but to tease him for the future would be cool. If they stick with his origin story, then that means we may be getting a brand new J. Jonah Jameson as well. I feel bad for whoever takes on that role. It will be nigh impossible to match the brilliance we got from J.K. Simmons. The man is a genius.

Check out the Instagram Post below. What do you think of the Scorpion appearing in the future? Good? Bad? Is Michael Mando a good choice? Sound off below.
