Michael Myers is on the Hunt in This Intense New Trailer For HALLOWEEN

We've got a great and intense new trailer for you to watch today for writer Danny McBride and director David Gordon Green's Halloween and this is probably the best trailer that's been released so far! It's packed full of awesomely creepy and exciting new footage.

The original Halloween film is one of my favorite horror movies of all time so I have high expectations for this movie. That being said, I like what I've seen from this new film. It definitely displays that awesomely unsettling vibe that I enjoyed about the original film.

Mcbride previously talked about how he hopes that this movie doesn't ruin anyone's childhood.

"In this day and age, Hollywood is tapping into so many beloved franchises that it seems like any time anything comes out there's the contingency of people that are stoked, and the contingency of people that are fucking pissed off and saying you ruined their childhood somehow. I hope this thing tips more into the world of people liking it. I hope we don't ruin too many childhoods."

Halloween is a direct sequel to the first film, and in it, Laurie Strode will confront Michael Myers for the first time in forty years. When we catch up with her in the film, she has spent all those years preparing to kill Michael Myers if he ever ended up getting out of the asylum that he's been locked away in. As you'll see, Meyers ends up getting out and now he is out terrorizing and killing people as he hunts down Laurie, who is ready for him.

Judy Greer plays Karen Strode, the daughter of Laurie, and Andi Matichak (Orange Is the New Black, Underground) plays Allyson, the granddaughter.

John Carpenter is an executive producer on the film and is also serving as a creative consultant. He is also creating the musical score

Halloween will be released on October 19, 2018.

Evil is real. #HalloweenMovie -- Universal Pictures will release Trancas International Films, Blumhouse Productions and Miramax's Halloween on Friday, October 19, 2018. Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
