Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn Address That Big GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Easter Egg

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn recently reconfirmed that there's a big Easter egg in the film that no one has found yet. I'm looking forward to the day when someone does find it and it's confirmed by Gunn himself.

While attending the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest, Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn both addressed the unfound Easter egg. During one of the the panels at the event, a fan got up a presented his theory on what the Easter egg might be. He said:

"When Star-Lord is trying to sell the cosmic cube, the infinity stone, there's the Ankh symbol, the symbol of the Brotherhood of the Ankh created by the In-Betweener in the comic books, which was the balance between the opposing entities the Lord Chaos and Master Order."

Rooker jokingly replied with, "Yeah, then what happens?" Which was followed by laughter from the audience. After the laughter died down the fan said:

"Well, it obviously sets up for the Infinity War story."

Rooker quickly snapped back and said, "Yeah, so what?" and the fan continued by asking if that was a possible Easter egg. Rooker didn't confirm it, but he did tell him, "You think so huh? Good thinking. Next!"

I'd say that's a no. Then in an interview CB, Sean Gunn was asked about the Easter egg, and he couldn't really reveal what it was because he can't remember!

"I feel like I should just take your $20 and then just make something up, but you see fans get crazy because these things that people want to know sooo badly, a lot of times my brother [James Gunn] tells me these things...and I just forget them because they're not all that important to me. It does exist..it definitely does exist. I don't remember if he told me or not!"

So it looks like you'll all just have to keep on looking! Now, I'm off to watch the movie a hundred more times.
