Michael Rooker Races Into FAST & FURIOUS 9

Guardians of the Galaxy actor Michael Rooker has joined Universal Pictures’ Fast & Furious 9! His casting was a last minute addition to the film, and he will take on the role of a character named Buddy.

Rooker joins the previously announced Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, and Helen Mirren. There are no other details given regarding Rooker’s character, but he’s a fun actor that will make an awesome addition to the franchise. I’m sure he’s going to be great in whatever role he ends up playing in the film.

Rooker has a good amount of projects in the works that include Blumhouse/Sony’s Fantasy Island, Paramount/21 Laps’ Monster Problems, and Amazon/MRC’s The Dark Tower pilot.

We don’t really know what to expect from this film, but Justin Lin is back in the driver’s seat to direct, and the script comes from Dan Casey. The film is set to be released on May 22nd, 2020.

What do you all think about Rooker joining the F&F franchise?
