Michelle Pfeiffer to Star in Michael Showalter's Amazon Christmas Comedy OH. WHAT. FUN

Three-time Academy Award-nominated actress Michelle Pfeiffer (Batman Returns, Dangerous Minds, Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania) has signed on to star in Amazon’s upcoming Christmas comedy, Oh. What. Fun. Michael Showalter, who previously directed The Big Sick, The Eyes of Tammy Faye, and The Dropout, as well as this year’s SXSW hit, The Idea of You, is helming the holiday pic, which he is co-writing with Chandler Baker, based on a short story from the latter that was originally published by Amazon Original Stories.

In the film, “Pfeiffer plays Claire Clauster, who organizes a special Christmas outing when her family forgets her in the shuffle. By the time they realize their mistake, she’s gone missing. Their Christmas is in jeopardy, but Claire has other plans.”

This sounds like a fun new holiday movie that’s a step up from the garbage that’s churned out each year by the Hallmark channel. Stay tuned for more info as it’s released.
