Middle-Aged Men Start a Band in Trailer For The Indie Rock Comedy THE INCOHERENTS
I’ve got a trailer for a fun-looking indie film for you to check out today titled The Incoherents. This is a rock ‘n roll comedy about a group of middle-aged men who get together to form a band.
The story centers on Bruce Flansburgh (Jeff Auer), who is “a bored, 40-something New York paralegal who hasn’t let go of his dream of rock stardom. While slogging through an increasingly unbearable day to day existence, it dawns on him that the reunions of The Pixies, Soundgarden and other alternative/indie rock bands from the 90’s could inspire his former group, The Incoherents, to reform. The group, each one mired in some sort of mid-life malaise, reunite their 90's indie rock band for one last shot at rock stardom.”
The film was directed by Jared Barel from a script that was written by the star of the film Jeff Auer. The movie also stars Walter Hoffman, Casey Clark, Amy Carlson, Annette O'Toole, Kate Arrington, Robert McKay, Christine Chang, and Alex Emanuel, who also served as music supervisor, along with Auer. They wrote the original songs the band performs in the film.
It’s a mid-life-crisis rock comedy and it’s a movie that I think I’d enjoy watching The Incoherents will get a direct-to-VOD release on April 28th.
