Ari Aster, the director behind the disturbing horror films Hereditary and Midsommar, is developing yet another horror movie for A24.

Aster is teaming up with the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Michael R. Jackson for the new project, which is said to be in the early stages of development. The film has no title, and it will be the first film he’ll direct that he hasn't also written.

There are no details regarding the story that this film will tell, but the fact that he’s working with a Pulitzer Prize winner is pretty cool. The Pulitzer was for a musical drama called A Strange Loop, “a metafictional musical that tracks the creative process of an artist transforming issues of identity, race, and sexuality that once pushed him to the margins of the cultural mainstream into a meditation on universal human fears and insecurities.”

Aster is currently working on his next movie, Disappointment Blvd., which stars Joaquin Phoenix, Nathan Lane, Patti LuPone, Amy Ryan, and Kylie Rogers.

We don’t have many details on the project to share with you, but the story is described as “an intimate, decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.” That movie is set for release in 2022.
