Mike Colter Continues to Play Coy When Asked About LUKE CAGE Joining the MCU

Mike Colter played the Marvel character Luke Cage in the Netflix series of the same name, as well as the crossover shows in that universe at the time. Now that Daredevil has made his way into the MCU in his own rebooted series, alongside two of his co-Defenders, fans are asking Colter non-stop if we can anticipate his return as well.

The actor has not been shy about his eagerness to return to the role, but has been pretty adamant about not believing it was a possibility as he hadn’t heard anything from executives that would make him believe he was in their plans.

But he seems to be playing his responses a little differently these days, as he was asked about the possibility at a recent panel for Edmonton Expo (via Agents of Fandom), and he played coy over the question which seems to be a recurring theme in his life.

Colter responded, "I don’t know why people keep asking me this. There are no signs," he joked. "It’s not like they’ve just recently revived one of the Marvel Netflix shows.”

He went on to talk about some trepidation over whether Luke Cage could even go up against villains of the MCU, playfully stating, “Did you see what they did to Hulk? Come on, man, if they’re gonna do that to Hulk, they’d have Thanos absolutely wipe the floor with Luke.”

Obviously, if he knows something, it’s staying under wraps for now, but his return seems imminent to me. What do you think? Would you like to see Luke Cage reunite with his fellow Defenders in the MCU?
