Mike Colter Teased The Story For LUKE CAGE Season 3

Luke Cage Season 3 is still being written, but Mike Colter is familiar enough with it to know where the story is headed. Comicbook reports the actor recently spoke about it at Baltimore Comic Con, and said the following about the new season:

I think our plan for Season 3, Cheo Hodari Coker, our showrunner, is writing Season 3 as we speak. I think the plan for Season 3 is to explore Luke's ability to govern and be fair. At the end, we talk about there being a new sheriff in town, a new king in Harlem. We're going to see how he deals with this power, because we know absolute power can corrupt absolutely. And sometimes when you don't have someone checking you, someone to put you in place, someone to tell you 'you can't do that,' we sometimes get out of control. We see that everywhere.

We could’ve assumed that, given the way Season 2 ended, but it looks like this is more or less confirmation on where things are headed between now and Luke Cage Season 3. In short, if there’s some secret project happening at Marvel right now, it won’t affect Cage’s story enough for the show to change course between Seasons 2 and 3.
