Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda Showed a Clip of His Upcoming Anime Music Video at Anime Expo

Mike Shinoda is most famous for being a member of Linkin Park as well as his rap project Fort Minor. During Anime Expo, Shinoda joined Crunchyroll to show a small teaser for a new music video he’s been making called “World’s on Fire.”

The music video is done in an anime style, and during the panel, Shinoda talked with Victoria Holden and Adam Sheehan about how connected his work has always been to anime. After all, Linkin Park songs are very popular in the world of anime music videos. I know that I watched tons of AMVs that were Linkin Park songs back when I was in middle school.

Shinoda said this about the connection and “World’s on Fire”:

My music and anime have had a long history crossing paths, from the fan videos edited over Linkin Park’s music, to our original video for ‘Breaking The Habit.’ This new video for ‘World’s On Fire’ is a lighthearted video that focuses on a female protagonist as she learns to control her unique power.

You’ll be able to catch the full music video later this summer but enjoy the clip below. “World’s on Fire” can be found on Shinoda’s latest album, Post Traumatic.
