Miles Morales Is Wolverine in New WHAT IF...? Marvel Comics Special
Marvel Comics has announced its upcoming What If…? special, and it imagines fan-favorite Spider-Man character Miles Morales as Wolverine!
Marvel's description of What If… Miles Morales #2 reads, “MILES IS THE BEST THERE IS AT WHAT HE DOES…
And in this reality, what he does isn't very nice. What if…Miles was taken from everything he ever knew – his family, his home, his life – and transformed into the most dangerous, immortal weapon of war the world has ever seen? Miles has been made into the Wolverine…but that doesn't mean he has to be what they made him…”
I assume we’ll also see some homages to the 'Weapon X' storyline in this wild new Wolverine story arc for Miles.
This one-off comic book story was written by 12 Years a Slave's John Ridley, who's also writing Marvel's Black Panther series and DC's I Am Batman. He will be joined by artist Farid Karami, who will be making his Marvel debut with this issue after his originally intended debut.
Miles Morales co-creator Sara Pichelli has created the main cover for What If… Miles Morales #2, and is scheduled to be joined with variant covers by Paco Medina, Carlos Pacheco, and Declan Shalvey.
The five-issue What If… Miles Morales series debuts March 2 with an issue showing Miles Morales as Captain America. This Wolverine issue will be released on April 6th.
