MILES MORALES: SHOCK WAVES Graphic Novel Gets a Release Date

Scholastic and Marvel have teamed up for some graphic novels, and the first one, Miles Morales: Shock Waves, is almost out. Written by Justin A. Reynolds with art by Pablo Leon, Shock Waves follows the web-slinging super hero from Brooklyn as his fundraiser for Puerto Rico earthquake relief starts to attract some shady sponsors. Fans will be able to read Shock Waves starting June 1 for $12.99!

Miles Morales is a normal kid who happens to juggle school at Brooklyn Visions Academy while swinging through the streets of Brooklyn as Spider-Man. After a disastrous earthquake strikes his mother's birthplace of Puerto Rico, Miles springs into action to help set up a fundraiser for the devastated island. But when a new student's father goes missing, Miles begins to make connections between the disappearance and a giant corporation sponsoring Miles' fundraiser. Who is behind the disappearance, and what does it have to do with Spider-Man?

The next graphic novel to come from the aforementioned deal will be Ms. Marvel: Stretched Thin by Nadia Shammas and Nabi H. Ali this Fall.
