Millie Bobby Brown Reportedly in Talks to Join a STAR WARS Film
A report has surfaced regarding Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown saying that she has been in “secret talks” with Disney and Lucasfilm about joining a Star Wars film. If this rumor actually turns out to be true, it’s not really a secret anymore.
The news comes from Mirror, which says that she could earn a $15 million payday on the project, which just seems ridiculous to me. But apparently, she and her father and manager Robert “are friends” with franchise Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. So, who knows.
It’s reported that, “Millie is on Disney’s radar for the new Star Wars projects. She’s had contact with Kathleen, who is aware of her desire to feature in a movie or play a central role in one of the new TV projects for Disney Plus. The Disney executives know just how much of an icon she is already for the 10 to 30-year-old audience and what that brings in terms of appeal.”
I’m sure that Star Wars fans are going to have lots of opinions and thoughts on this. It’s something I can definitely see Lucasfilm doing to hit that sweet spot target market. Regardless of any casting, all I really want from Lucasfilm are great Star Wars stories! Just give me that! Just focus on telling great stories! I’ll be happy if they can manage that.
The Mandalorian is the best thing they have going for them right now thanks to Dave Filloni and Jon Favreau. The future of Star Wars films is going to be interesting. They just need to hire the best talent for the job. I can’t wait to see what Taika Waititi gives us with his Star Wars movie!
