Millie Bobby Brown Reportedly Offered The Lead Role in THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE SILVER CHAIR
Director Joe Johnston (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) is currently developing his final film, which is an adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair. The movie will completely reboot the Narnia film franchise because the first films that were released never really quite caught on with audiences.
This new film will feature an entirely new cast and according to The Hashtag Show, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown was offered the lead role in the film!
The SIlver Chair follows the characters Jill Pole and Eustace Scrubb as they embark on an adventure through Narnia to find a missing prince. If Millie Bobby Brown ends up joining the film, she will play the character, Jill.
Getting a popular star like Millie Bobby Brown involved with the film project is sure to excite the fans of Stanger Things. There's no doubt that her involvement would go a long way in the marketing for the film as well and attract a wider audience. She's also a very talented young actress that we know will give a great performance.
There are no details on if she will take the role or not, but it'd be great if she did. It would definitely be one of the best things that could happen with the movie. It's got a solid director at the helm, so there's a good chance that this could end up being a solid movie.
The Silver Chair is set a decade into Narnia’s future. It’s kind of a standalone story, which makes it perfect for a reboot point. If you're not familiar, here’s the official description of the story:
NARNIA...where owls are wise, where some of the giants like to snack on humans, where a prince is put under an evil spell...and where the adventure begins. Eustace and Jill escape from the bullies at school through a strange door in the wall, which, for once, is unlocked. It leads to the open moor...or does it? Once again Aslan has a task for the children, and Narnia needs them. Through dangers untold and caverns deep and dark, they pursue the quest that brings them face and face with the evil Witch. She must be defeated if Prince Rillian is to be saved.
