Milly Alcock Set to Star In Dark Comedy THUMB With Akiva Goldsman Producing

House of the Dragon and Supergirl actor Milly Alcock will star in Daina Oniunas-Pusić’s dark comedy Thumb.

The project, which was written by Cesar Vitale, winner of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting, follows a lonely woman (Alcock) who mistakenly receives a severed thumb in the mail.

She makes it her life’s obsession to return it to the hand it once belonged to, putting her on a collision course that will upend her world forever.

Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman and Greg Lessans will produce for Weed Road, and Richard Saperstein, Brooke Saperstein, Beau Turpin and Annie Saperstein will produce for Bluestone Entertainment. The film is set to start shooting this fall in New York.

Goldsman said of the project, “Cesar Vitale is a unique and exciting new voice on the page, Daina Oniunas-Pusić is an impossibly talented artist behind the camera and none of us can stop watching the extraordinary Milly Alcock. Greg Lessans and I could not feel more privileged to help make this one a reality.”
