Milo Ventimiglia is Developing a Hockey Drama For NBC Titled HOMETOWN SAINTS
With This is Us coming to an end after its six-season run, Milo Ventimiglia is ready to get his next project going. He and his production company have set up a new hockey drama series at NBC titled Hometown Saints.
The story for the series revolves around Billy Riedell, “a retired hockey player who struggles to figure out who he is now that his career is over. He ends up back in his hockey-crazed Minnesota hometown, reluctantly coaching a girl’s high school team.”
It’s not mentioned in the report that Ventimiglia will be starring in the series, but there’s a good chance that he will be taking on the role of the lead character. It seems like the kind of role that he’d be perfect for.
The script will be written by Grainne Godfree (Marvel’s Secret Invasion) and Derek Elliott (Klien, Scoob) and they will also executive produce alongside DiVide’s Ventimiglia and Russ Cundiff. The company’s Deanna Harris will produce.
