Milo Ventimiglia Joins GOTHAM as a Villain
Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia has joined the cast of the hit series Gotham, and he will be taking on the role of Jason Lennon, a.k.a. “the Ogre.” The character will be around for a multi-episode recurring story arc, and he’ll make his first appearance in episode 19.
The Ogre is described as being handsome, wealthy, and seductive, but he’s a serial killer who has been preying on the young women of Gotham for almost a decade. According to Variety, he lures the women into his web “confronting them with a series of 'tests' as he searches for his perfect mate. When the women fail to live up to his impossible standard, Lennon disposes of them quickly and viciously.” The report goes on to say:
“His obsessions, combined with Jim Gordon’s (Ben McKenzie) determination to bring him down, send both Gordon and Lennon — as well as those around them — on a course toward tragedy.”
Ventimiglia’s character does share a nickname with a villain from the DC Comics universe, but this new character is unrelated to any previous versions. The actor is going to fit right in in Gotham, and he’s going to make a great serial killer. It doesn’t sound like things are going to end on a good note with this character.
