AI-Pocalypse is a fantastic sci-fi short film from Dust that you’ve got to check out. It tells the mind-bending story of a self-conscious Artificial Intelligence who goes into the 4th dimension to fix humanity's future.
It’s an ambitious project that comes from aspiring filmmaker Lin Sun and I loved how it turned out. It’s a great looking film visually and the story is clearly inspired by Sonmi-451's story in Cloud Atlas. It just takes the story a bit further.
Sun is a directing student at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. You can check out more of his work on Vimeo or visit his official website. The movie stars Jiao Xu as Sonia and is joined by Arthur Roberts and John Henry Richardson.
