MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT Wraps Production With Tom Cruise Jumping Out of a Plane at 25,000 Feet
Director Christopher McQuarrie has announced that he has completed shooting Mission: Impossible - Fallout. It came with a series of behind-the-scenes photos of what has got to be one of the most insane stunts that Tom Cruise has ever done. He jumps out of a plane at 25,000 freakin' feet!
This was the last shot of the film production and it's a shot that they only have one chance a day at trying to get right. McQuarrie says:
"Just one shot left. At 25,000 feet. At 200 mph. At dusk. Three minutes of available light. Two minutes of action. One chance per day. Just one. Just one shot left."
Of course, Cruise did the stunt himself! That's just the kind of guy he is and it's one of the reasons why I like him and the movies he makes. Jumping out of a plane that high has got to be one hell of a rush.
The best intentions often come back to haunt you. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.
If you want a reminder of how awesome this new Mission: Impossible film looks, you can watch the trailer again for it here. This might very well end up being the most insane Mission: Impossible film yet!
Mission: Impossible - Fallout lights the fuse on July 27th.
