MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ROGUE NATION Featurette Shows Tom Cruise "Scared Sh*tless" During Plane Stunt
By now, it's common knowledge that Tom Cruise loves doing his own ridiculous stunts, especially in the Mission: Impossible franchise. In this franchise alone, he's jumped through exploding glass and outran a deluge of water, done some dangerous rock climbing, let a knife come within centimeters of his eye, been blasted into the side of a parked car, laid under a truck as it jack-knifed above him, and climb on the tallest building in the world. In the upcoming Rogue Nation, he's doing a stunt in which he holds his breath for over six minutes, and then there's the show-stopping moment we've seen in the trailers that show Cruise grabbing onto the side of a freaking plane as it takes off at full speed.
Paramount has released a short featurette that goes into a bit of detail on that particular stunt, and it includes a part where Cruise admits he was "scared sh*tless." I imagine that's how all of us would feel if we were crazy enough to do something like that, Tom.
Rogue Nation arrives in theaters on July 31st.
