Mitch Pileggi Confirms He’ll Be Back as Walter Skinner in X-FILES
Earlier this month David Duchovny said that Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi) and the Cigarette-Smoking Man (William B. Davis) would be reprising their roles in the upcoming limited series event of The X-Files.
Pillage took to Twitter earlier this week to confirm that he will indeed be back in the role of Skinner, which makes me believe that Davis will be back as Cigarette-Smoking Man as well. Here’s what the actor said regarding his return:
“Very happy to announce that Walter Skinner will once again be getting all grumpy and bitchy with his two wayward kids. Very happy.”
The X-Files wouldn't be complete without grumpy Skinner around, so it’s great to know that he’s coming back! Filming is scheduled to get underway this summer, with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson back as Mulder and Dana Scully respectively.
It has also been rumored that Monica Reyes (Annabeth Gish) and John Doggett (Robert Patrick) will also return, but that has yet to be officially confirmed. It’s ridiculous how excited I am to see this series is coming back.
