MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM 00 is Getting a Live-Action Adaptation... as a Stage Play
I love Gundams. My favorite series is the one that introduced me to the franchise, Gundam Wing. I know I’ll get some hate for it, but I think that show has the coolest Gundams. I know I’m not alone in my love of Gundam either. I know that a lot of people are clamoring for a live-action Gundam movie with the success of the Pacific Rim films as well as Ready Player One.
Well, fans are sort of getting their wish. Mobile Suit Gundam 00 will be getting a live-action adaptation, but it won’t be a movie. It will be a stage play. That’s right, Gundam is jumping on this oddly popular trend of becoming a stage play.
This, of course, raises so many questions, like how are they going to pull off the Gundam and other mobile suits!? The news comes from a tweet from moetron. I honestly don’t know what to think of this. I really don’t. The play is set to premiere in February 2019, but no other specifics have been given yet. Maybe this will lead to them finally making a live-action movie?
