MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS. MAXIBOOST ON Gets a Release Date for the Western Launch and Details of a Closed Beta
As a fan of Gundam, I’m very excited for the upcoming American PS4 launch of Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On. This is a 2v2 fighting game that was originally released in Japanese arcades, but now Western fans will be receiving a console version of the game. Now, Bandai Namco has two awesome points of news for fans as excited as me.
Set in the globally iconic GUNDAM universe, MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS. MAXIBOOST ON enables players to take 2-on-2 PVP combat to the next level with Mobile Suits spanning the entire breadth of the franchise’s history. MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS. MAXIBOOST ON features 185 playable units from 36 different GUNDAM iterations, each with unique abilities designed to match any fan’s personal playstyle. Players can choose between three different EX Burst Systems—Fighting Burst, Extend Burst, and Shooting Burst—to coordinate with allies and lay waste to all that stand (or fly) in their way.
First, there will be a closed beta for the game next month! PS4 fans will be able to participate in a closed beta that runs from April 25-27. If interested, you can sign up for consideration in the beta today. If you’re selected, you’ll be notified on April 17 with a pre-download period available from April 17-25.
Second, the game finally has a release date. You’ll be able to play Extreme VS. Maxiboost On on July 30. If you happen to purchase the game early, you’ll be gifted with the mighty Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.
