MODERN FAMILY Star Eric Stonestreet Joins the Cast of DEXTER: RESURRECTION in Major Role
Emmy winner Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family) is the latest big name to be added to the cast of Showtime’s new drama sequel series Dexter: Resurrection, which chronicles a new chapter for Michael C. Hall’s serial killer Dexter Morgan.
In a high-profile guest-arc, he will play Al. The character, who shares Kansas City native Stonestreet’s Midwestern background, is believed to be a serial killer. He is set to appear in four episodes. Stonestreet joins other big names tapped for arcs/guest starring stints on Dexter: Resurrection as rumored serial killers, including Krysten Ritter (Mia) and Neil Patrick Harris (Lowell).
In addition, the main cast of the Dexter followup, which has been filming in New York since January, includes David Zayas, James Remar, Jack Alcott, Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa and Emilia Suárez.
Clyde Phillips executive produces Dexter: Resurrection and returns to serve as showrunner. The series is expected to kick off this June.
