MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: ICEBORNE Gets Its First Free Title Update

Monster Hunter fans should be excited as the first free title update for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne was recently released. The update includes bringing the Rajang into the game, more end-game content, and more. If you don’t know what a Rajang is, it’s a fan-favorite monster that looks like a demonic gorilla as can be seen in the image above. Its long arms make it especially dangerous for hunters to fight, but the equipment you can make from it is pretty awesome:

The new end-game content adds a new region to the Guilding Lands. This new area is a volcanic biome that opens once you agree to fight the Rajang. Also, new tempered monsters have been added like the Tempered Gold Rathian and Tempered Silver Rathalos (pictured below). In addition, some gameplay adjustments have been implemented for the Guilding Lands based on player feedback.

Another part of the update is the ability to visit the rooms of other players. This means you’ll really want to make your room the coolest place ever. To help you bling your room, some more paid DLC options are now available.

The next free update is planned for November and will feature a collaboration with “survival horror icons Leon, Claire and Tyrant, along with the special quests for the winning entries of the weapon and Palico equipment design contest for players to craft.” In addition, the first round of a collaboration with Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds will become available for PS4 players, letting them craft a Light Bowgun designed to be Aloy’s Stormslinger.
