MONSTER MADNESS is an Amazing Expansion for DUNGEON MAYHEM
If you enjoy fun and fast tabletop games, I cannot recommend Dungeon Mayhem enough! This fun little game comes from Dungeons & Dragons and features you and your friends playing as characters trying to be the last one standing as you attack each other. Well, the latest expansion, Monster Madness, is now available and it’s phenomenal.
Monster Madness adds six characters to the game and includes rules for playing with six players instead of just four. This allows for even more of your friends to feel your wrath. You can play Monster Madness with the base game and the first expansion no problem, but even if you’ve never played Dungeon Mayhem before, you can play straight away with only Monster Madness.
The six new characters are absolutely incredible with the Beholder Delilah Deathray, Mind Flayer Dr. Tentaculous, Gelatinous Cube Blorp, Mimic Mimi Lechaise, Red Dragon Lord Cinderpuff, and Owlbear Hoots McGoots. Each character has unique cards that further bring character to them such as Dr. Tentaculous’ “Diagnosis: Evil!” card which will leave you and your friends laughing.
The gameplay is so incredibly simple too. You draw a card, play a card, do what the card says, pass your turn. There are some cards that let you play additional cards and therefore get some big combos, but be careful because sometimes your enemies can completely ruin your wonderfully planned combo.
My favorite part of Monster Madness though is the box. It has been beautifully designed to be the perfect storage solution for Monster Madness as well as all previously released parts of the game. I love it when games create amazing storage solutions.
Monster Madness is a lot of fun, even when you only have two people or haven’t played Dungeon Mayhem before and I can’t recommend it enough. The quick pace allows games to be over in as little as 5 minutes sometimes. I found most games last 10-15 minutes though.
