MOON KNIGHT Clip Sees Ethan Hawke Unleashing Monsters; Kevin Feige Says the Series Is "Loud and Brutal"

I’ve got a new clip from Marvel’s Moon Knight to share with you titled “Summon the Suit.” In it, we see Oscar Isaac's Steven Grant and May Calamawy's Layla El-Faouly finding themselves in an intense situation of survival.

They are trying to run from Ethan Hawke’s villain, Arthur Harrow, who is using some kind of magical powers to open up a portal to unleash some monsters on the world. It’s a great little scene that showcases some of the action and tone of the series.

I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve seen from it so far. In a recent interview with Empire, Kevin Feige opened up about the show's darker, more violent tone and how big of a risk it was:

"He's brutal. It's been fun to work with Disney+ and see the boundaries shifting on what we're able to do. There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight is wailing on another character, and it is loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk reaction is, 'We're gonna pull back on this, right?' No. We're not pulling back. There's a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is Moon Knight."

Sounds good to me! Check out the clip below!

The show is described as "a new globetrotting action-adventure series featuring a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside him find themselves thrust into a deadly war of the gods against the backdrop of modern and ancient Egypt."

The synopsis goes on to say that the story follows Steven Grant, “a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc's enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.”

The series was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin with Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy) and Beau DeMayo (The Originals and The Witcher) writing the series. Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead are directing.

Moon Knight will be released on Disney+ on March 30th.
