MOONRISE KINGDOM: Video Essay Pinpoints How Story Meets Style in Wes Anderson's Film
I'm a fan of Wes Anderson, but I have to admit that it gets a little tiresome watching video essays that concentrate so heavily on the director's distinct visual style. But this video, from Lessons from the Screenplay, is particularly refreshing because it barely touches on the visual aspects and instead dives into what we learn about Anderson's movie through the script itself. I only saw Moonrise Kingdom once, back when it was in theaters in 2012, and watching this makes me want to pop that movie in and revisit this world and its characters again as soon as I can.
