MORBIUS Director Daniel Espinosa Hints That Fans Will Soon Find Out Which Spider-Man Exists in VENOM's Universe
Last week, we reported the news that Morbius director Daniel Espinosa came out and said that Spider-Man exists in the Morbius universe, but that we wouldn’t be seeing him in this film. Now, he is talking about Spider-Man again, but in a different DC film.
In a conversation documented in a series of Tweets via Cinema Blend, the following conversation took place:
CB: Is there a Spider-Man in Venom's universe?
DE "Of course"
CB: "Ok, so which Spider-Man exists in Venom's universe?"
DE: "It is my understanding that audiences will discover the answer soon."
Does this refer to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man getting an introduction into this world, or is he referring to a whole new character? It’s hard to tell, but all we can do is really just wait and see. Maybe there will be more of a Spider-Man presence in Morbius than we’ve been led to believe?
Or maybe we really are just waiting for Venom 3 to be made to be able to fully see this crossover. After all, the Venom 3 IMDb synopsis reads, “Eddie Brock seeks help from Peter Parker in order to defeat The Hobgoblin.” But my hope is that if Holland is brought into this world, we get a better story and direction for this third Venom film.
Morbius will release in theatres on April 1, 2022.
