MORBIUS Is Coming Back to Theaters After Social Media Meme Campaign and Fans Call for Sequel

Here’s something that I do not understand. There are people out there that actually liked Sony’s Marvel movie Morbius. These fans are pushing the film on Twitter and other social media outlets with Morbius memes trending over the past week. There have also been calls from fans for a sequel!?

I don’t get it, this is not only one of the worst films of the year, but it’s one of the worst Marvel films ever made. All this recent hype has got to be a joke, right!? Well, apparently there’s a passionate Morbius fan community on Discord.

Well, due to its recent popularity, CB is reporting that Sony Pictures is re-releasing the film in theaters beginning today, Friday, June 3rd, in over 1,000+ theaters.

The movie was trashed by critics and it underperformed at the box office with only $73 million domestic and $163 million worldwide. So, the studio is hoping to make a little more cash off of this recent hype with a theatrical re-release.

I certainly won’t be wasting my time and money on this movie again. I regret watching it the first time. If you are one of these fans, please, help me understand the un-understandable.
